MAHARAJ JANARDAN POHARYA VALVI ARTS, COMMERCE AND SHRI VISHNU KRISHNA KULKARNI SCIENCE COLLEGE Tal – Akrani, Dist – Nandurbar, M.S. 425414 | Affiliated to KBC North Maharashtra University Jalgaon Nandurbar is an Adivasi district of Maharashtra state, and Dhadgaon is one of the six tehsils of it. Most of the land of Dhadgaon is located in the seven ranges of Satpuda (7 Ranges) Mountain up to Narmada river. It is located between the 4 and 5 ranges of the Satpuda Mountain. It is totally hilly and remote area. The residents of the area belongs to the Schedule tribe and Schedule caste communities. They live in hamlets and their social, economical and educational condition is very pitiable, and the proportion of education is very lower one. They are still far away from the mainstream of education. Honorable Shri. Janardan Poharya Valvi felt worried about the society. He was the first MLA of Akrani constituency. He was also known as ‘Maharaj Baba’. He was awarded as a ‘Adiwasi Sevak’ ‘Dalit Mitra’. He was inspired by Thakkar Bappa.
