Overview
"The Tradition of Excellence is Ours, The Choice is Yours." These words are not just a motto–they embody the vision, dedication, and hard work that have defined A.V. College for decades. The roots of this institution trace back to 1944, a time when education was a distant dream for many and a privilege for only a few. Visionary leaders like Sri Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy, Sri Suravaram Pratap Reddy, and Sri Madapati Hanumantha Rao recognized that education was the key to breaking the chains of ignorance and inequality. Their relentless efforts in the pursuit of freedom, education, and mother tongue literacy led to the founding of Andhra Vidyalaya High School, the first Telugu medium school in the Nizam ’s dominion. This movement later gave birth to A.V. College in 1968. What began as a modest institution has now grown into one of the most prestigious centers for learning, shaping generations of students. At A.V. College, knowledge is not just imparted but nurtured with purpose and passion.
