Overview
The Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology (AVIT) was founded in 1998 as a University of Madras-affiliated institution. It was afterwards associated with Anna University in Chennai. On a 24.11-acre tract of land with a built-up size of 5.65 lakh sq.ft., the institution is located on Rajiv Gandhi Salai (Old Mahabalipuram Road). The college is committed to offering high-quality education to students from all walks of life. The college provides undergraduate programmes in 10 different disciplines, including B.Arch, as well as seven post-graduate programmes, including a Full-time (Regular) Master of Business Administration (MBA). The Part-Time (Regular) option is also available for five undergraduate and six postgraduate programmes at the institute. The campus boasts 200 Mbps Broadband Wi-Fi coverage, allowing students to use the internet 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
