The institution imparts education in the field of Civil Aviation, Engineering. J.C. Kala Educational & Cultural Trust (R) and Kakaday Santhuram Rao Lakshmi Bai Charitable Trust are the only supporters of the Agragami Group of Educational Institutions (R). Under the guidance of H.R Satishchandra, a group of like-minded founders, who were persons of initiative and invention - practical dreamers - personified the notion of an educational institution that provided general and professional education to all classes of people in Agragami in 1999. In 2002, Agragami merged with VSM Aerospace, AME Training School, which was founded in 1993 by Gp Capt. C. Chandra Sekharan VSM. Agragami has witnessed significant development since its establishment, starting with 23 students and rising to over 2,800 students annually, enrolling in a variety of courses across all campuses. J.C. Kala Educational and Cultural Trust is a registered organization in Bangalore that has been recognized by the Government of Karnataka, India, with Reg. No. 255/98-99 dated 11.02.1999. As Trustees, the Trust is led by intellectuals who are highly qualified, experienced and committed. The exemptions under Sections 80 G and 12A of the Income Tax Act have also been expanded by the Indian government. VSM is one of the very few AME training institutes in Asia and in India which has its own light and heavy aeroplanes and helicopters on the property, for students to have "hands-on" training in addition to a well-equipped library and laboratories with parts and instruments. Of course, our excellent teaching staff, which makes all the difference in students' comprehension of the subjects, imparts the knowledge and discipline in equal measures. Facilities: Electrical Lab Avionics Instrument Lab Airframe Lab Jet Engine Lab General Engineering Shop Machine Shop Piston Engine Lab Radio Navigation Library Hostel Course Duration : The duration of the above-mentioned course is 2 years each, which is divided into four semesters of six months each, covering all the modules of the respective category. The entire course consisted of basic knowledge training, basic knowledge examination, practical training and practical assessment. Qualification for Admission : For the AME training course, the candidates shall have passed a minimum 10+2/PUC with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; or a three years diploma in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation) or a higher qualification in science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Method of Selection : VSM Aerospace admits the eligible candidates on a first come first serve basis. The trainees shall produce a medical certificate before they are admitted to the training institute by a doctor possessing at least an MBBS degree. Candidates shall not have any physical disabilities or colour blindness, which may interfere in discharging the duties as an AME. The courses shall start the second or third week of July of each year or the following working day in case of a holiday. Record of admitted students : The admission process and document verification shall be completed by the second week of August. The name, address and photograph of the student. The batch and the stream in which the student is admitted. The commencement and conclusion dates of the course Copies of certificates of the education qualification with verification Medical certificate issued by registered MBBS doctor Security Clearance in the case of Foreign Students.
