Overview
The University of Mumbai (known earlier as University of Bombay) is one of the oldest and premier Universities in India. It was established in 1857 consequent to `Wood`s Education Dispatch drafted by Charles Wood in 1854. University of Mumbai was established along with University of Madras and University of Calcutta.
