The sole aim of Fr. Antonius Maria Bodewig, the founder of the Congregation was the empowerment of women and an integrated development of children with special focus on girls.

The Congregation was canonically established in the year 1923. The Vision and dream of our founder Fr. Antonius Maria Bodewig and the co-founders 'to bring the Good News of the Compassionate love of God' and to bring about an integrated development to the people of India liberating them from the bondages of poverty, injustice and all kinds of social taboos is being realized by every SRA.
