Vidya Prasarak Mandal’s Swatantrya Senani Jawaharlal Darda College of Law, Yavatmal (Formerly, Amolakchand Vidhi Mahavidyalaya) Godhani Road, Yavatmal – 445001, Maharashtra Email: avmv_ytl@rediffmail.com With the mission of achieving excellence in legal education and addressing the growing need for legal services in the Yavatmal district, Vidya Prasarak Mandal established the Faculty of Law in 1962. In the academic year 2004–05, this faculty was transformed into a full-fledged law college and named Amolakchand Vidhi Mahavidyalaya. In honour of Late Shri Jawaharlalji Darda—a veteran freedom fighter, eminent social reformer, staunch Gandhian, and a visionary who believed in the transformative power of education—the college was later renamed Swatantrya Senani Jawaharlal Darda College of Law, Yavatmal. The college is situated on a sprawling campus of 9 hectares and 81 R, with a built-up area of 27,445.11 square feet. It boasts a majestic infrastructure equipped with modern facilities including a conference hall, moot court hall, and a richly resourced library housing over 7,000 books, along with national and international journals, e-journals, law databases, and periodicals.
