Auxilium College of Arts and Science for women was a vision that came to reality in the year 2007-2008. It is administered by the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco. The empowerment of young people is the focus of their service. The college is situated in the remotest corner of the Pudukkottai District, in a village named Regunathapuram surrounded by many villages.

The people of the villages around, never even dreamt to have their girl children to enter into the portals of the University and obtain a degree of their studies in Higher Educational Institution. The lamp lighted up does shine brighter and higher and attracts the simple and underprivileged young girls of the villages to chase away their ignorance through obtaining higher education.

After so much of the struggle and sacrifices of the sisters, in the year 2007 Auxilium College received affiliation orders from the Bharathidasan University, Thiruchirapalli, for five courses and started only with 3 students admitted in the Department of English.
