Overview
Recognizing the needs and aspirations of the residents of Munger, the Late Shiv Prasad Singh, a respected Senior Advocate and citizen of Munger, took the initiative to establish a law college in 1983. At that time, Munger District did not have a law college, making this endeavor all the more crucial. The esteemed members of Sri Krishna Seva Sadan, Munger, unanimously decided to name the proposed Law College after the Late Bishwanath Singh, a revered Congress leader, renowned freedom fighter, and distinguished lawyer from Munger. The first professor-in-charge of the institution was Late S.K. Banerjee. In November 1983, law classes commenced in a building provided by Rev Chhote Raja Saheb of Munger on Pipar Panti Road. As the number of students increased rapidly, certain challenges arose in the smooth functioning of the institution, particularly regarding student accommodation.
