C. Mascarenhas, the Founder of the Bethany Sisters, provided excellent Kannada education. People in the area requested an English Medium School administered by the Bethany Sisters after experiencing the great education provided there.

It was, without a doubt, the most pressing requirement of the hour. The then-Headmistress of Little Flower School, Sr Prashanthi, worked tirelessly to actualize this idea and obtain authorization from the educational authorities. Bethany School Putter was founded on June 1, 2005, as a branch of the Bethany Educational Society in Mangalore, with the goal of achieving all-around the growth of students via God’s experience, values, and high-quality education.

It promised to establish a safe and secure atmosphere in which innovative teachers deliver high-quality, value-based education that leads to academic performance. There were 34 students when the school first opened. It now has 885 kids in the elementary department after ten years.

The school is regarded as one of the best in Puttur Taluk thanks to the grace of God, the support of the management, and the tireless efforts of the employees. Extracurricular and curricular activities are held on a regular basis. It has enabled pupils to excel in sports and games at the state and national levels.

The school is well-equipped with all necessary amenities and has a visually appealing infrastructure. Smart Class Program is used to teach, and a good rapport with parents and the general public is established. The Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore, manage the Bethany Educational Society (BES) Mangalore, which has its headquarters at Bethany Convent in Mangalore.

With the slogan Transformative Education for Fullness of Life for all, especially the poor and female children it provides value-based education through Balwadi Centres, Pre-Primary, Primary, and High Schools, Pre-University Colleges, Degree Colleges, and Vocational Training Centres. The Bethany Educational Society was established on September 4, 1948, under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, with the name The Bethany Educational Society , Mangalore. In addition to Educational Centers, there were 34 institutions at the time of registration, including Agricultural Farms, Weaving Centres, Tailoring and Embroidery Centres, and so on.
