The role of education has evolved and undergone paradigm shifts, from that which focuses purely on imparting knowledge to the present one which encompasses career development of individuals to fulfil the needs of the global jobs. Pre-university education is considered a milestone to be eligible for university education. Pre-University, is the most important and critical phase in the system of education in India, because it is at this stage that the student has to decide on the specialization to pursue in future. Whether it will be Medicine, Engineering, Science, Arts, Commerce, or Vocational training, which can later lead to higher education. BGS PU College was found in the academic year 2017-18 for providing quality Integrated education to the students at affordable fee. It imparts value, moral and social responsibility based quality education. BGS PU colleges showed highest pass percentage, consistency in results and very good ranking in competitive examinations (NEET, JEE, CET, etc.). Studying at BGS PU College has vivacious driving force for the students with the blessings of Mahaswamiji. The college is equipped with modern amenities, central library with digital library, fully furnished modern laboratories, Spacious class rooms, qualified, experienced, expert and dedicated teachers etc. The College strives to fulfil such a requirement with a blend of Values, Culture and Scientific education. BGS PU College at Jnanagangothri campus is a private unaided college affiliated to the Karnataka state Pre-University Board, Bengaluru. It has been accredited as A+ grade by Karnataka PU board. The college is co-educational institute, admits both Boys and Girls. The College offers two year Pre-university course with the medium of instruction in English and the Science and Commerce streams. BGS PU College focuses at the developmental needs of young learners integrated curriculum approach is necessary in order to develop the academic aptitude, learning skills and create the body of knowledge necessary for the students to make the right choice in pursuing their professional studies and perhaps disciplines of personal interests as well. Hence, we believe that pre-university level education has significant impact on shaping 'what' and 'how' students decide with regards to their career choices.
