ABOUT
Overview
Founded on November 7th, 1938, the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has grown from small beginnings, into an all India intellectual, cultural and educational movement. It would be instructive to remember that Kulapati Kanhaiyalal Maneklal Munshi, the founder of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, was a practical idealist besides being a lawyer, an author, a constitution maker, a statesman and a social reformer. Above all, he was one who persistently strove for cultural and spiritual regeneration. With the motto of "Let nobles thought come to us from every side", (Rigveda,1-89-1), Bhavan's Tripura College of Teacher Education was established on 12 May, 2005 with the objectives of value-based quality teacher education in Tripura. The college is permanently recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and permanently affiliated to Tripura University (A Central University) and also Affiliated to SCERT, Agartala. The college is recognized by UGC under section 2 (f) & 12 (B) of UGC Act, 1956 on December 29, 2016.
