About

About Birbhum Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET)

Birbhum Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET) is a private institute in West Bengal, established in 1999. Campusbells lists it under Computer Sciences and IT, with 9 courses (7 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate), including M.Tech and B.Tech.

BIET - Birbhum Institute of Engineering & Technology is running as a non-profit organization under the active guidance of eminent scholars including Professor Debabrata Das Gupta, former VC, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswa Vidyalaya (BCKV), and current President of West Bengal Governor. The same goes for other social workers and philanthropists in the neighborhood and surrounding area. BIET developed as Birbhum’s pioneer Engineering Institute, located on 30 acres of expansive beautiful Techno-Complex in Suri.

Birbhum’s district headquarters is Suri. The quiet tranquillity of the location makes it ideal for achieving educational goals. As engineers, our students solidify their knowledge in the serene Suri area and rest in solitude for mental refreshment.

Birbhum’s bauls, their philosophy, and their songs are prominent examples of the district’s traditional culture. Because we are near to Shantiniketan, Shri Rabindra Nath Tagore’s home of calm and study, our students are exposed to some of Bolpur’s larger-than-life cultural festivals, such as the well-known Poush Mela, where East and West cultures collide. Tarapith, Bolpur, and Bakreswar are among the most important religious pilgrimages in Birbhum.

On weekends, students can visit these hallowed sites and get blessings for a successful career. This also helps our kids develop strong moral and ethical character. Birbhum is closely connected to all of West Bengal’s major cities, including Kolkata, Durgapur, and Asansol, by a well-developed road and rail network.

Birbhum is approximately three hours away from Kolkata along the national highway. BIET is without a doubt the most popular choice among students and recruiters.
