In the words of Swami Vivekananda, “Education is the manifestation of perfection already existing in man.” The explosion of knowledge and tremendous advancement of Science and Technology in recent times have made it almost imperative to us to change the system of education as well as teaching-learning process at all levels, particularly in school level. To cope with such changes, the educational research and investigation have shown that the school education and teacher education have become extremely important. A teacher with training becomes more confident in executing his task.

Qualitative improvement in teacher education, thus remains the need of the hour. Teachersmust be lifelong learners to ensure relevance of education and teacher training must address the differential leaning needs of individual teachers.
