Overview

Department of Management Sciences- Pune University (PUMBA), which was founded in 1971, has gone a long way since then. Being the official department of the Savitribai Phule Pune University`s MBA program has boosted PUMBA`s image. It has also contributed significantly to PUMBA`s management initiatives. PUMBA, which is located on the 414-acre lush green campus of Savitribai Phule Pune University, provides the ideal atmosphere for the development of a great manager. The University just received its highest mark from the National Council of Assessment and Accreditation (Bangalore). The university received a `A` with Five Stars institutional grade, making it one of just a few institutions in the country to receive such honors. The University Grants Commission has also classified the university as a University of Potential Excellence (UGC). The Department, as one of the university`s most important departments, was likewise exposed to the rigorous accreditation process and is pleased to report that it was successful. We are confident of sustaining and exceeding current standards under the capable and imaginative leadership of the University`s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) W. N. Gade.
