Dnyan Ganga Education Trust's Degree and Junior College of Science and Commerce, Thane was established in 2007 under the management of Dnyan Ganga Education Trust (DGET) - (Registered with Charity Commissioner, Mumbai, Under the Public Trust Act, 1950) was established in 2000. It is one of the premier institutions established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress. The college is affiliated with the University of Mumbai, Mumbai for degree courses and recognized by Government of Maharashtra. Dnyan Ganga Education Trust (DGET) is an educational hub delivering quality education from KG to PG. DGET is determined to run the institutions professionally, adopting all the modern advancements in academics and technology to shape the individuals into truly global citizens with Indian values. DGET aims at creating professionally superior and ethically strong global manpower create leaders and managers of tomorrow. This college aims to provide service and carry out the reconstruction of the community with a basic component of the academic development of the student in warm iconic climate. Their aim will be to make the college a transforming place with improved goals, accountability at all levels and instructional facilities, especially for Thane and on G.B. Road in particular. DGET aims at creating professionally superior and ethically strong global manpower create leaders and managers of tomorrow. At present, the college offers two years intermediate courses in Science & Commerce streams with various optional specializations under Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune. The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Science & Commerce streams with optional specializations under the University of Mumbai, Mumbai. Apart from this college, the society established many other schools/colleges in the all over the India. They are : Dnyan Ganga Education Trust's International School Dnyanganga Education Trust`s College of Education (B.Ed.)
