Since the time of establishment the college, with tireless effort of a team of experienced ,well qualified & enthusiastic faculty members & staff, has been able to occupy a place of pride in the field of higher education of the state. Established in 1981, Furkating College is a premier seat of higher learning in the state of Assam. Over the years, the college has made significant contribution in the form of preparing the young generation for different jobs & professions & in making them to be responsible citizen. The people of Furkating and its adjoining area with great enthusiasm and cooperation resolved to establish an institution of Higher Education at Furkating town, the heart of a large area of 25 sq. miles. Enriched academic programmers, eminent, scholarly & enthusiastic faculty, all-round performance of its students has upgraded the college to a position of high repute.
