Overview
Sri. G. Mallikarjunappa the Founder Chairman of Shrishyla Educational Trust was from agriculture cum arecanut trading background and hails from a remote village by name Bheemasamudra near Chitradurga in Karnataka. He is a well-known philanthropist, social visionary and statesman, the then member of parliament. He started the journey with a well-known Betelnut Business at Bheemasamudra Chitradurga Dist in the name of Sri. G. Mallikarjunappa & sons. He ventured into the Education field with a deep sense of social service to fulfill his strong desire to help the Mid Karnataka students in the year 2000 by establishing the trust. The sole objective of the Trust is to provide Quality Education to Rural and Semi Urban Region Students. Having a great vision on the increasing trend in Science and Technology to meet the challenges of the 21st Century, Srishyla Educational Trust (Regd.) has started the Flagship Engineering Institution 'GM INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY' in Davangere during 2001-02 Academic year.
