Overview

Welcome to the Gnana Jyothi Residential School & P U College website. We are a part of the GVS Trust(R), which has had a strong presence on the education map of Karnataka. The Trust has been associated with education since 1984. Today we are a fully fledged CBSE and Karnataka State affiliated school with student strength of more than 1000 and staff more than 100. We are committed to excellence in education from KG to PUC. This website has been created with the sole purpose of giving complete information about the school. We believe that every parent has a right to know details about our school, which we try and provide here. The website is organized in such a way that new parents seeking admission into the school, can either get an overview of the admission process, or get detailed information about the school. Gnana Jyothi School & P U College seeks to create a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations for success through development appropriate instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles. Our school promotes a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive environment. Each student`s self-esteem is fostered by positive relationships with students and staff. We strive to have our parents, teachers, and members actively involved on our students` learning. Gnana Jyothi Residential School, is an CBSE and State co-educational Residential and day-school set up under GVS Trust(R) in 1983-84. We follow the State syllabus and CBSE combined with Activity based and Student friendly teaching methods to meet the student needs. History : We are a part of the GVS Trust(R), which has had a strong presence on the education map of Karnataka. The Trust has been associated with Management education since 1984. The school was founded in 1984 by Late B.M. Murthy, an eminent educationist. He decided to start school here, in Jangamakote Cross which is conveniently located and accessible by every one. In pursuance of its motto `Service Before Self`, and its commitment to an integrated educational system, the mission of the society was to enhance learning among the Indian youth. As it has been said, "It is good to have an end to journey towards, but it is the journey that matters, in the end". The involvement of the Society in universal educational enhancement and its endeavour to build a democratic, pluralistic and secular nation has made all the difference. It is no more a question of lighting a candle here or there; it is an attempt at total electrification. The whole world has begun to glow with the light of literacy radiated by the Gnana Jyothi School & P U College.
