Overview

Government Polytechnic, Bhatapara was established in 2014 with departments in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering. Students were first admitted to the Civil Engineering department in 2014, followed by the Mechanical and Electrical departments in 2017. The institute is situated on a 6-acre campus that includes the main academic building, a girls’ hostel, and laboratories for Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical branches, a library, computer lab, language lab, and a workshop. It has the capacity to train more than 500 students in various fields every year. Over the past 11 years, the institute has developed an alumni base of seven batches of diploma engineers in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines. With the dedicated efforts of its faculty and students, the institute continues to make meaningful contributions toward building a progressive society.
