Overview
Government Degree College Ani is a rural institution located in the picturesque surroundings of Haripur, approximately seven kilometers from Ani, the tehsil headquarters of the region, in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. The area is widely known as Outer Seraj. The college was established on June 17, 2006, as a result of sustained efforts by the local community under the leadership of the late octogenarian social worker, Mr. Hari Ram. The college is a co-educational institution affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. It initially introduced the Arts stream in the academic session 2006–07, followed by the Commerce stream in 2014–15 and the Science stream in 2016–17. Student enrollment has steadily increased over the years, attributable to the institution’s sound infrastructure, high standards of teaching, and a supportive environment that promotes holistic development.
