Overview

Government College, Nagrota Bagwan is situated in the foothills of snow-capped Dhauladhar mountain range and was established in 2006 to cater to the educational needs of the students of the hill state. It has a sprawling campus and a well-designed building spread over approximately 100 Kanals area. It is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla and offers courses in Humanities, Basic Sciences and Commerce at the undergraduate level and in English, Commerce and Mathematics at the postgraduate level. The primary objective of the institution is to enable the students to cope with the demands of the contemporary global scenario through effective transaction of the curricular and co-curricular aspects. Academic excellence through the use of the state-of-the art educational techniques, personality development and social orientation of the students are the primary focus areas of the institution.
