Dr. Someshwar F Gaddi, a famous Neuro Surgeon and a Philanthropist is the key force behind the emergence of this college. His sacred goal was to strengthen healthcare system by producing competent and service oriented nurses. He worked restlessly till his dream became true with the establishment of Gurudev College of Nursing in 2022-23.

The college is named after Guru(teacher) who dedicate his/her whole life to mould the personality of students who study under his/her guidance. It shows the very insight of Dr. Someshwar F. Gaddi and the highest reverence he has towards teachers community.
