Hari Ram College, Mairwa is a constituent unit of Jai Prakash University, Chapra, Bihar. Established in 1965, the college was founded through the collective efforts and aspirations of the people of the Mairwa region with the vision of creating greater access to higher education.

The institution was named after the revered local saint Baba Hariram, whose legacy continues to inspire the college’s emphasis on values, discipline, service and social responsibility.

The foundation of the college reflects the contribution and cooperation of the local community. The construction of the college building was supported generous contributions from farmers associated with the Sugarcane Purchase and Sale Union of Mairwa.

The college was initially affiliated with Bihar University, Muzaffarpur in July 1966. Subsequently, it attained the status of a constituent college on 1 January 1980, following recognition the Government of Bihar.
