Overview
IMU Kochi - The Indian Marine University, Chennai which was created as a Central University in November 2008 by an Act of Parliament (Act 22), is positioned to play a critical role in the development of educated human resources for the maritime industry. The Indian Maritime University is based in Chennai, and its new headquarters are being constructed on 300 acres of the property leased to IMU at Semmancherry, Chennai, between East Coast Road and Old Mahabalipuram Road.
