Taking into consideration this fact Late Balasaheb Ghuikhedkar and their friends darely step forward and established a society namely Vidya Prasarak Mandal, Darwha, in 1971. This society initially introduced Mungsaji Maharaj Mahavidyalaya at Darwha with under graduate courses in Arts and Commerce faculties.

In 1983 the society introduced Science faculty in its same College at Darwha. In this way it becames esteem institution in this region imparting the higher education with undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Science faculties.
