Established 87 years ago by the revered Guruvarya Rajaram Parshuram Sabnis, Junnar Education Society (JES) came into being on 22nd May 1935. Guruvarya, a mentor par excellence was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s clarion call– ‘Let’s March towards the villages.’ Armed with this mantra and geared with the dream to impart quality education to the children of rural areas, Guruvarya established Junnar Education Society. Today, this institute has evolved into the epicenter of quality education having shaped the lives of thousands of students.

Guruvarya R.P. Sabnis was an exacting personality. He inspired many iconic personalities of Junnar and they came forward to help realise his dream of establishing an educational Institution of merit.
