The school has been resolutely promoting legal and ethical values while nurturing its students to be integral members of global, political, social and economic justice systems.

Jyotirmoy School of Law which is affiliated to Calcutta University and recognised by Bar Council of India is a noble initiative of Jyotirmoy Education & Welfare Foundation which was established in 2008. The institution has a Wi-Fi enabled campus, a well-equipped library and all other necessary amenities to help students with research and documentation. In order to ensure all-round development, the students are constantly encouraged to participate in various extra-curricular activities such as moot courts, debates, legal extempore, legal aid clinics, seminars, conferences and other activities like cultural functions, sports, yoga etc.
