Overview

S.B.R. College Started as Arts College and in 1948 legal education was introduced in the College as faculty college was established by Mahakaushal Education society (M.E.S.) & it was run by the said society. To make legal education at par with other professional education, in 1968 the said faculty was transformed to law college. With advent of law college legal education got a big boost. This college was named as M.E.S. Law College as it was governed by M.E.S. Society and latter the name was changes as Kaushalendra Rao Law College. In its nascent stage it was part time evening College. Around 1968 S.B.R. (Arts) college was taken over by the Government and college shifted to new premises in Jarahabhata. Now Only Law College was left in the old premises. Due to financial difficulties college was runon rented premises till 1983. Renowned advocate Shri M.S.D. Sharma was appointed as first honorary Principal who continued till his death in 1991.
