Overview

The College was established in the year 1962 in the name of KGF First Grade College. In the year 2000 the KGF First Grade College was bifurcated into KGF First Grade College and KGF PU College. KGF PU College has a campus of 5 acres with lush green, beautiful, cool, calm and ideal atmosphere for the students. The college is managed by the Golden Valley Educational Trust under the stellar guidance of its President Dr. T. Thimmaiah. Our college was started for the uplift of the downtrodden of the city of KGF and the surrounding villages and we continue with our mission. Our dedicated staff never fail in this mission. We have a highly dedicated and inspiring teaching staff, and also kind and co-operative non-teaching staff fulfilling the motto of our college. The college has 25 well furnished class rooms, 7 well equipped laboratories, a library with large number of recent books etc. There are separate faculty-wise staff rooms, newly built separate canteen with modern facilities, waiting room for boys and girls and a spacious parking facility for both students and staff. The college offers various courses in Arts, Commerce and Science. All through it has maintained a good standard of education. Many of its alumni have achieved success in various fields and are serving the society. Many of our students have brought laurels to the institution in the academic field, NSS and other cultural activities at the State and National levels.
