Overview

MGM College is an institution of higher learning established and managed by the Diocese of Calcutta of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (Indian Orthodox Church). It operates under the aegis of the St. Thomas Mission Society, (Reg. No. HOME/SRC-6028), Midland, Dimapur, Nagaland. It aims at imparting higher education that is based on the Christian vision life. Christian education stresses the formation of the whole person by recognizing and developing the vast potentialities latent in the student in a balanced manner, taking into account his/her socio-cultural context. The St. Thomas Mission society, under the aegis of Calcutta Diocese, and under the direction of St. Thomas Mission Society, Bhilai, provide service to education field. The presidency is vested in the hands of Bishop H.G.Alexios Mar Eusebius (Metropolitan Calcutta Diocese). The St. Thomas Mission Society is to be formed mainly for the upliftment of the people of the weaker society and to impart fair education to all sectors of stratum without being bias and help them be independent in all walks of life.
