Mount Carmel Central School (MCCS), Maryhill, Mangalore is managed by The Apostolic Carmel Sisters, Karnataka Province under The Apostolic Carmel Educational Society (R), a non profitable Christian Minority institution run for the welfare of the community and people of India at large by promoting the cause of Education. They have a long history of education, ranging from the Kindergarten to Post Graduation courses, since its pioneering efforts along the West Coast in 1870. The educational efforts of the pioneers have now spread not only to the entire country but also to Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, East Africa, Rome and France. MCCS has its focus on all-round education with emphasis on personal growth and character formation along with integral value-based development of young students with deep faith in God.
