Overview

It gives me great pleasure in welcoming you to NAKACHARI COLLEGE which has been empowering students for the last twenty three years. My young friends, the college is going to celebrate its Silver Jubilee year and you , as students ,would be part of the historic event. Established with effort of a few local educationists and the public support in 1988, the college provides facilities in Three Year Degree Courses as well as Six Semester Courses in Arts Stream. The college is affiliated to Dibrugarh University and recognized by the Govt. of Assam. The Govt. of Assam has allotted 45 Bighas of land to the college in 1996. The college also recognized by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956 vide letter No-8-476/2010 (CPP-I/C) dated 21-07-2011. Established with effort of a few local educationists and the public support in 1988, Nakachari College provides facilities in Degree Courses in Arts Stream. Situated away from din and bustle, the college is bestowed with natural beauty and it has a tea planted area of about 32 Bighas of land. Apart from imparting facilities for general courses of studies, the College is awaiting for to introduce diversified courses to aware the pupils for self-employment and at the same time help the college to stride towards self-sufficiency in the long run. The flame within a wheel enlightening our living planet indicates the flourishing living with the Motto "Tomoso Ma Jyotirgyamya". The wheel graven surrounding signifies the Science and technology, which befit our life to live on. The collage library contains more than 13,430 books on various subjects. Moreover, the library subscribes ample nos. of journals, Magazines and Newspapers. The library has an adjacent reading room for the students.
