In the year 1978, Late Sh. Mukund Das ji Maheshwari started an educational society – Narmada Welfare Society, having eminent educational personalities on its board and started its first activity school at D. B. Vallabh Das Palace, Hanuman Tal, Jabalpur - M.P. From a humble beginning it has grown like a Banyan tree having a strength of about 4,000 students. In the intermittent period several associate societies with independent management committees known as Vidya Parishads were formed to impart quality education and later Collegiate professional courses were introduced on public demand. The educational establishments of mother institution and associates are commonly known as Narmada Group of Schools & Colleges, although there is no functional integrity and financial bondage amongst each other.

From a humble start at residence of Late Shri Mukund Das ji Maheshwari in Hanuman Tal, today we have building infrastructure in different parts of Jabalpur and each has been developed keeping specific courses and overall development of students in mind.
