Overview
Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences was established in 1992. It is one of the most reputed institutions offering nursing education in Karnataka. The institute operates in a building of over 50000 sq.ft that is situated within a sprawling 22 acre campus at Paneer, Mangaluru. With the excellent clinical facilities offered at the 1000 bed, super-specialty K S Hegde Hospital, the students have gained exposure and training, necessary for their profession. One of the major components of nursing education is health promotion of rural and urban communities at the primary level. To encourage work in this direction, the college offers excellent opportunities to students to participate in all major National Health Programs and National Health Day celebrations, in collaboration with Primary Health Care Centres.
