About Paschim Dhemaji College P.O.Ghuguha Dol

Paschim Dhemaji College P.O.Ghuguha Dol is a government college in Dhemaji, Assam, established in 1997. Campusbells lists it under General. Approvals and accreditation: UGC.

A beacon of educational excellence serving rural Assam since 1997 — empowering communities, one student at a time.

Paschim Dhemaji College was established in 1997 at Paschim Dhemaji, near Ghuguha Dole — a socio-economically and educationally backward rural area inhabited by peace-loving people of diverse castes and communities including ST, SC, OBC & MOBC groups.

The college is affiliated to Dibrugarh University and recognized by U.G.C. under 2(F) & 12(B). It is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with Registration No. RS/DMJ/241/A/06 dated 11th August, 2005.

The area where the college is located covers 157 villages with a population exceeding 90,000. Prior to our establishment, there was no institution for higher education in this region, despite more than a thousand students passing the H.S. Examination annually. Many remained confined to their homes due to economic constraints and poor transportation — a situation compounded by severe annual flooding since 1983.
