Overview

Our Story : Prakriti Montessori House of Children is founded by Mrs. Lavanya Murali and Mrs. Banupriya Ella in the year of 2018. Prakriti strongly beleives in the child and letting the child to think and learn freely helps to become evident and flourish. We follow Montessori method found by Dr. Maria Montessori. Prakriti`s environment is where the child`s inherent love for learning is simulated. All the materials in a Montessori environment is have been tested through time and are based on obervations of how children learn and the various developmental stages that they pass through. It caters to the unique needs of each and every child. We at Prakriti view education as an aid to life, and as a process. Emphasis is not just on what is learnt, but how it is learnt. Our Programs : We cater to children between 1.9 years to 9 years for age. The admissions are open through out the year. School Facilities : EveryDay Care for your Children... The conductive enviornment with the Montessori curriculum can help the overall development of the child. With the current pandemic not allowing children to get the right congnitive and social simulation, we offer virtual session to the children to continue to the growth of the child. We also provide transportation and day care of the children. Montessori Curriculum : The Montessori philosophy`s greatest difference is its empahsis on being child-centered. A Montessori education follow the individual child`s interests using observation. Each child is different. Montessori Schools flexible curriculum reflects this fact by allowing each child to go at his or her own pace. Each age range(0-3 years, 3-6 years, 6-9, etc.) has a distinct learning objective that each student is guided toward. Rather than preparing a child for the classroom, teachers prepare the classroom for the child. By observing children and taking note of their interests and levels of understanding, Montessori teachers unveil the unique potential in every child. Child understands the things and people around him/her with the help of various senses like seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and by touching. It is important to show him/her to sort, segregate and categorize this information, hence making him/her capable of intelligently using this environment. In the Montessori classroom, however, we foster a lifelong love of learning in children so that they enjoy and value their education, especially later in life. Students are free to approach different topics they most want to learn. Rather than sitting passively during lessons, students take an active role in their education. They have the responsibility to approach the subjects they are interested in. The lessons often consist of physical materials - Children can literally be "hands-on" with math and language skills.
