Overview

R.C. College of Education, Dhanot, P.O. Adhwani, Teh. Jawalamukhi Distt. Kangra (H.P.) has come into existence with the efforts of R. C. Shiksha Samiti Dhanot and the courtesy of Himachal Pradesh Govt., H.P. University Shimla, NCTE Jaipur now at Delhi and H.P. Board of School Education Dharamshala. This College is one of the oldest B.Ed. College in the area (successfully completed 15 batches). The College introduced Teaching of B.Ed. Course in the year 2003 - 2004 with an annual intake of 60 students in B.Ed. in all the three streams (Medical, Non - Medical and Arts/Commerce). This intake has been allowed to be increased to 100 seats by the NCTE & H.P. University Shimla from the academic session 2005 - 2006 onward and JBT(D.El.Ed.) course with an intake of 50 students started from the academic session 2008 - 10 onward and completed 6 batches. From session 2015 -16 onwards the duration of B.Ed. course has been increased to two years with annual intake of one unit i.e 50 students which has now been increased to two units i.e 100 students with effect from 2019.
