Rajiv Gandhi Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital (RGAMC & H) established at Mahe in the year 2010 with the approval of Department of AYUSH, Govt. of India.This institution is functioning under Perunthalaivar Kamaraj Medical College Society (PKMCS) which is governed by Govt. of Puducherry. This is the only college in South India which is funded by Department of AYUSH – Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. Courses OfferedBachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery(63 Seats per Year)Diploma in Ayurveda Panchakarma Therapy(10 Seats per Year [5 Male & 5 Female]) Free Yoga Training Class for General Public is conducted at Yoga Hall in the College Campus on all working days from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. Kayachikithsa deals with the diagnosis and treatment of general diseases like skin disorders, diabetes, tuberculosis, rheumatoid, etc. Panchakarma is Ayurveda’s primary purification and detoxification treatment. It helps in the balancing of doshas (bioelements) in the body.
