“Modesty must be instilled with Knowledge; knowledge makes free and fearless; education strengthens the will towards a successful life“

Chimur, a socially and economically backward historical village and today a small tehsil in the historical district of Chandrapur, discovered routes of development quite late. The year 1942 was a sizzling year not only in the history of India but also in the history of Chimur. With the intensification of Gandhi’s struggle for India’s freedom, one of his followers and close associate Shri Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj’s fiery bhajans and preaching were slowly and steadily awakening the humble folk of Chimur and nearby villages for a mass struggle against the British Empire.
