Overview

Preschool education is important and beneficial to the child attending nursery school. Studies have shown how children who do not attend preschool have troubles in their schooling later on in life. There is emerging evidence that high quality preschools are "play based," rather than attempting to provide early formal instruction in academic subjects. "Playing with other children, away from adults, is how children learn to make their own decisions, control their emotions and impulses, see from others' perspectives, negotiate differences with others, and make friends," Pedagogy informs teaching strategies, teacher actions, and teacher judgments and decisions by taking into consideration theories of learning, understandings of students and their needs, and the backgrounds and interests of individual students. At Rubicks Pre school we thrive on creating a safe and loving environment with a focus on individual attention. Our goal is to give your child the most powerful and joyous learning experience possible. All the classrooms are well ventilated with ample of air and light and have the attached washrooms maintained on regular hygiene measures. How We Play, Learn, and Grow : The first few years of learning have the greatest impact on a child's lifelong development; therefore The RPS approach is to introduce the child to new concepts and ideas in an engaging manner. A unique curriculum conceptualized with two paths The Learning Path and the Working Path revolves around the concept of 'multiple intelligence', that each individual posses a unique blend of eight types of intelligences, as accepted worldwide and encapsulated in Dr. Howard Gartner's. Following this two path model, the curriculum is organized thematically and is created to be both exciting for our students and rich in content. It is designed to be inclusive for various types of learning abilities and lends itself to differentiated instruction. We have designed the schedule which bring in the above Holistic development in the little ones as well as children have time for honing their natural ability with plenty of learning activities, physical activities, music and movement. When children enjoy what they are doing, they learn faster and grasp concepts better. At the RPS classrooms, the learning journey traverses play, activities and fun.
