The National Education Society and Saraswathi Vidya Bhavan Education Group of 69 Vibrant institutions (NES-SVB Group) bears eloquent testimony to the power of one visionary, Dr. R. Varadarajan, who has been working with single- minded focus and foresight towards “Redefining education for tomorrow’s world”.

Dr. R. Varadarajan, on his own, assumed the onus of creating access to quality and value-based education and for transforming some of the far-flouring suburban areas of Mumbai and Thane Districts. Thus, came the existence of National Education Society (NES), the seeds of which were sown in 1963 with just 7 students enrolled for learning with this young visionary and entrepreneurial teacher in his humble 10*10 slum cottage at Bhandup, which was then an underdeveloped area known more as settlement for brown collar workers. This tiny NES School became the first school to prove his mettle in education.
