ABOUT

Overview

The primary objective of the society was to impart education by establishing colleges especially for educating and empowering women. Accordingly, the society acquired Sapphire Degree College, run by Sapphire foundation trust in 1998. Later on, the name was changed to Shantiniketan Women's College with the permission of Osmania University and the Govt. of A.P. Since then, the society has also been taking up various charitable activities like educating and bringing up orphan children etc. The society also gives donations and supports other charitable institutions set up for the welfare of the society. The society regularly conducts meetings and the minutes of these meetings are recorded. Apart from this, the society has an Advisory Council for the college to guide and help it reach the highest standards in education and implement required changes from time to time. The Advisory Council works purely on honorary basis and it has no financial commitments.
