As a vital part of the National Agricultural Research System (NARS), the University serves as a cornerstone for agricultural development in Rajasthan, bridging the gap between scientific innovation and field-level application.

The University covers 8.93 million hectares—approximately one-fourth of Rajasthan's total geographical area. This vast territory spans 12 districts, 118 Panchayat Samities, and 12,415 villages across three agro-climatic zones:

Guided by NEP-2020 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), SKNAU focuses on climate resilience, water conservation, and soil health restoration. Our roadmap integrates modern technologies like Artificial Intelligence with traditional wisdom to enhance farmer livelihoods and ensure national food security.
