St. Agnes College welcomes you. The organisation is dedicated to consistency and excellence and has state-of-the-art facilities. Furthermore, the organisation aims to make its students globally successful, making them proud citizens of the country. The college offers programmes in Business Administration/Management, Humanities, and Science.The Apostolic Carmel was established in 1868 in Bayonne, France,and later relocated to Mangalore, India, in 1870 which is a congregation of sisters affiliated with Mother Veronica of the Passion`s Order of Discalced Carmelites. The Apostolic Carmel nuns are in charge of this organisation.The college is known for producing women graduates who work as educators, academics, chartered accountants, middle and upper-level management practitioners, and service professionals in a variety of fields. The year 2020-2021 is a one of the best moment in the history of St Agnes College (Autonomous) Mangaluru, as it celebrates its 100th anniversary. Celebrating 100 glorious years of service in the world of Women`s Higher Education and is a momentous day for all of us. The Founder Mother Mary Aloysia was the second superior general of the apostolic carmel congregationand was also known as a woman of faith with a far-sighte vision for development and progress. Mother Aloysia was a woman who had found her own way through the world. During her time, educational services were scarce. She was a fantastic intuitive genius when it came to teaching herself and others. The St Agnes College took the lead in applying itself to the NAAC`s accreditation process. It was Mangalore University`s first institution to do so. The College was given the honour of receiving a 'Five Star` rating. Following the NAAC`s re-accreditation process in 2005.The College earned a 'A` grade in 2012, and in 2017, NAAC awarded the college a 'A+` with a CGPA of 3.65/4 in the fourth term. No institution dedicated to the advancement of higher education, though, should rest on its laurels. This is something that St Agnes College is acutely mindful of. As a result, since 2007, the Management of St Agnes College has acknowledged the status of academic autonomy for the College in order to encourage academic excellence in teaching and science. The College is free to create its own syllabus for different courses and to use appropriate advanced teaching, learning, and evaluation approaches under the autonomous system. The Mangalore University awards a degree or a diploma to eligible applicants who are presented by the College. The government will continue to support this arrangement financially. With autonomy, the College can be more effective in teaching job-related subjects, conducting exams, and announcing outcomes within the Semester pattern`s prescribed frameworks.
