Overview
St. Joseph Engineering College(SJEC) , Mangalore is the Best engineering college in Mangalore according to students who graduated from this College. The College is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka State. SJEC is registered under the trust Diocese of Mangalore, Social Action Department. Established in 2002, the College offers top-class education in Engineering, Business Administration, and Computer Applications at UG, PG, and Research levels . It has well-qualified staff, state-of-the-art laboratories, and all facilities. Presently about 2300 students are studying in the India top engineering college. The St Joseph Engineering College offers a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular programs that help students get a leg up on the competition by enhancing their personality and instilling decision-making and leadership skills. The Campus Placement Department assists students with seeking appropriate jobs. In accordance with the Registrar`s Office - V.T.U`s correspondence dated March 29, 2016, regarding the prevention of caste-based discrimination, SJEC hereby declares its intention to seek to eliminate caste-based discrimination in all of its academic activities. St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) is an Autonomous Institute under Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka State, SJEC is part of the "Diocese of Mangalore, Social Action Department" trust. The UGC gave the Institute autonomy beginning in 2021. The OBE system has been in use at SJEC since 2011. The NBA has granted full accreditation to four undergraduate programs, namely Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering , till June 2022. The institution has also received an A+ rating from NAAC , which is valid through February 2026. The College offers a wide range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that help students get a head start in life by developing their personalities and instilling decision-making and leadership abilities. The Campus Placement Department supports students in finding suitable employment.
