NEP 2020 envisions a transformative reform of India’s education system with a strong focus on strengthening teacher education and improving the quality of teaching across all levels. Recognizing teachers as the foundation of a progressive education system, the policy promotes an integrated, multidisciplinary, and professional approach to teacher preparation.

ITEP is a four-year integrated programme designed for students aspiring to build a successful career in teaching. The programme combines general education (B.A. or B.Sc.) with professional teacher education (B.Ed.), enabling future educators to develop subject knowledge and pedagogical skills simultaneously.
