TEXCITY MEDICAL AND EDUCATIONAL TRUST is run by philanthropists of Textile city. The trust was named after the great city of Coimbatore called “TEXTILE CITY OF SOUTH INDIA”. It was formed in the year 1992 to impart quality Education in Nursing and allied subjects of Medical field. The trust from then, has been working tirelessly towards the upliftment of the society. The trust started the TEXCITY COLLEGE OF PARAMEDICAL SCIENCES in the year 1993 and it felt that yeoman services should be rendered to the society by training nurses to meet the health needs of society hence it started a 3 year programme of Diploma Nursing in 1993 and the College of Nursing was started in 2006 with a four year B.Sc Degree programme.

Subsequently a 2 year programme leading to M.Sc (N). The College is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University,Chennai and is approved by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and recognized by the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council,Chennai.
