With the main objective to produce technicians at supervisory level to feed the demand of Technical Manpower in various fields of development activities Govt. of Tripura has proposed this polytechnic. TTAADC Polytechnic Institute is the very first Diploma Level Technical Institute under Department of Higher Education at the ADC areas.

44 acres of land at the prime location of TTAADC head-quarter Khumulwng amid the greenery. The three storied building infrastructure along with separate workshops of this Institute is has been fully developed and the architectural beauty of the same is one of its kind. The building infrastructure of this Polytechnic Institute has been developed from the financial assistance under Thirteen Finance Commission.

The Institute has got its first approval from AICTE for academic session 2016-17 on April 2016.
