A registered Society founded in 1941 under registration of Societies Act 1860. The institute endeavar of provide education par excellence through its various schools and Industrial Training Centre to the children and youth of Punjab.

It was the speech by Her Excellency President Mrs. Pratibha Devi singh Patil at presentation of National Awards to nursing personnel at Rashtrapati Bhavan. New Delhi on 12th May, 2008 which was the motivating factor for the Boaod of Directors of United Christian Institute to embark upon starting a school of nursing on its campus.

It stated there are about 3.7 lac active nurses in India while the requirement is for about 10.5 lac nurses by 2012. Serious consideration needs to be given as to how to reduce this gap. More Nursing Colleges should be estabtished. I understand that efforts in this direction are underway and this goal must be pursued relentlessly.
